as a chassis for 17.000.-FF probably with exchange of an unknown car and receive the Atalante body ex 57554.
The car was registered in Paris on the 13/11/1945 as 8522-RN8 and on the 7/11/1949 as 5079-YD9 in the Seine-et-Oise region for La Precision Industrielle in Rueil- Malmaison for Mr De Dobbeleer who bought this car from Mr No

.and that is why the engine had already been replaced by no 20C ex 57606. because that engine was his first Bugatti which he had bought in September 1949. which had him hooked on the Marque and which he had exchanged with 57655 in 1951 with Bouriano2.
Mr De Dobbeleer sold the car in 1957 to Mr Georges Marquet the owner of a chain of Luxury hotels The Palace and The Ritz in Brussels and in Madrid.
When business went bad he had to sell all his cars again and in 1974 he sold it to Mr Ser

in France. He kept it for a long time until his death after which it passed on to his nephew who by now owns it since the beginning of the nineties.
The compressor was taken off in the meantime.
The car which has not run since 1991 has come up for sale now.
