Countach LP5000S (321 Made 1982-85)
The LP500S, or LP5000S as some were badged, was introduced at the 1982 Geneva Motor Show and officially offered to the public as an option that same year. The new engine was not the same as the original LP500 show car and was actually smaller than 5 litres. The 85.5mm bore and 69mm stroke brought total displacement to 4754cc. With lower 9.2:1 compression power was 375bhp at 7000rpm and peak torque was 303 lbft at 4500rpm.
The most noticable difference in the cars was the more pleasant styling of the fender flares and front spoiler. The rear did receive some minor restylying.
